Why eliminate UREA?
When any of the components of the UREA system fails, the vehicle may go into protection mode (derrate), limiting engine power until it is repaired. This represents a risk if it occurs en route, affecting logistics, the operator and the goods. In addition, the cost of DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) represents a constant expense.
What is UREA?
UREA, also known as AdBlue, is an additive that is injected into the exhaust system of diesel vehicles to reduce pollutant emissions, especially nitrogen oxides (NOx). Although its purpose is to comply with environmental regulations, the system can cause problems when it fails.
